What is ASE Certification?

ASE is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 that helps improve the quality of automobile repair and services by expert professionals.

ASE stands for National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence which conducts various tests for certifying automobile professionals.

It asks a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on work experience in various automobile fields to appear in the ASE certification examination. Once a mechanic passes the tests, then only they provide certifications.

Why Your Car Should Be Serviced By an ASE Certified Mechanic?

Nobody loves to hand over their expensive cars and trucks to an inexperienced mechanic.

ASE certification is a seal of trust that ensures that the mechanic has in-depth knowledge of automobile repairs and service.

If a mechanic is ASE certified, it means he has great knowledge of cars and trucks with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience.

Hence, it ensures that your car is going in a safe hand.

  1. The ASE site is not at all up to date. I left the radius as 10 miles from me, and it claims there are none. There are car dealers nearby that only hire ASE certified mechanics. I am sure there must be certified mechanics at other local locations, too
